Faux chenille baby quilt

I found this tutorial last week and was blown away by how cute this idea is... So of course I had to have a go at making one myself!

The end result is so cute with the chenille such a cute feature, its still drying here as I don't posses a tumble dryer to speed up the process. It really does transform when you put it in the washing machine, not that it isn't as cute as a button before anyways.

The sewing took me maybe two hours and was very straight forward, the cutting is the bit that killed the buzz a little for me. If I was going to make more I probably would invest in a nifty chenille cutter as cutting it all with scissors made the old RSI flare up.

I choose a red, green and yellow for the flannel chenille, I kind of forgot that red and green are complimentary opposites I think, it got a bit of a buzz going on.

I love the old school effect on the front as much as the back, the quilting is just lovely, it almost inspires me to get more into quilting...
