Sling it to me baby

I must have made hundreds of baby slings over the last few years but none quite as important as this one! I always knew one day I would be making a sling for my own newborn (just didn't think it would take so many years).

Not much at say really as I could make an Mbeleko Sling with my eyes closed, I did enjoy the making of this more than I have enjoyed making a sling for sometime. I actually thought about re-opening the web store but note sure there is the market for slings as there once was... That and the stress of people due in a few days suddenly deciding they need the perfect sling yesterday.

I love the fabric combo, green voile with amazing flowers lined with a magenta lawn. I do wish I had some green rings but I seem to only have silver ones left. Well one pair of red but that would clash with the magenta.

I have had a request for a sling in Ford fabric to please the soon to be Dad, maybe I can find red Ford fabric to match with the rings lol. I think he might get a plain black one or something unless Ford fabric falls into my lap!

In other news I have made a start on the babies puff quilt, I came across these on Pinterest a few weeks ago and I love them! So I have cut the squares and now I have to turn them into a hundred puffs. I found a great tutorial on the Olsen Family blog however today the blog seems to be private and not letting me see it. Hopefully mine turns out as cute as theirs!
