Five little birdies

Five little birdies sitting on a wall, one named... Well they don't actually have names. But here they are the five little birdies I've been working on, continuing the theme of small and cute. I can't take full credit for these as I followed the pattern over at spool. Somehow I don't feel mine came out with quite the charm of the original design.

I'm thinking maybe I over stuffed them a little bit. But all the same they are quite cute and I'll be donating them to the stall at the Winter Magic Market. Although I do have a back-up if they don't sell... whilst they work ok like they are:

Especially for a quite and easy project from two small pieces of fabric and a little bit of stuffing. The idea of lots of them turned into a mobile holds a lot of appeal. With the simple edition of a twig these birds went from cute to art.

I love that spool sewing were not only clever enough to make the transformation but that they provide that pattern for free as well, nothing like sharing the love.
