So the little big boy is deeply entrenched in yet another Star Wars obsession, he can quote more facts about Star Wars then you'd have thought possible. And his favourite character, the crazy four armed cyborg that is General Grievous, he's really such a charming character...
So you can imagine how excited I was when asked to make said general in soft toy form. I have to say I have been procrastinating this one for a few weeks. At first the boy wanted to make the toy himself so I had him draw up a pattern...
We pretty quickly came to the conclusion that this wasn't an easy project, so we have been slowly thinking it through for the last couple of weeks and as I had promised I thought I'd better give it a go today. So out come the white felt, I wanted to try a no turning technique so just zig-zagged the edges and stuffed firmly...
Of course, he wouldn't be Grievous without some light-sabers and a cloak. At this stage he only has the two arms because he only has four in fight mode but if inspired I think it would be possible to add a second pair that attach with a press stud or similar.
The boy has taken him to the scared land of a bed friend so I think he's pretty pleased with the results...
