Saving a little sanity

Since the move, I haven't been able to figure out how to arrange my fabric and miscellaneous other crafty stuff. That is until today...

Using a few black cardboard boxes courtesy of our weekly fruit and veg delivery I know have all my fabric not only organised but also easy to see which makes working on a project sooooo much easier!

The whole system still has a ways to go as the smaller cubes in the Ikea expedit don't seem to work so well, there is quite a bit of stuff shoved down behind the inks and paints, which is great until I need to get to something in the back!

Now its just the rest of the room that needs the magic touch, in the opposite corner to this is the ever expanding pile of baby paraphernalia! I am slowly getting to it all but today saw a big influx that needs to be sorted.

The big issue is the lack of storage which was today's main project. Converting a drab old pine chest of drawers into something a little more fine. Taking my inspiration from this and this:

The current situation is a pine chest sitting on the front porch waiting for the primer to dry in a Melbourne winter, it might take a while...
